The purpose of different types of media

 The purpose of the different types of media is to inform, entertain, persuade or educate the audience. Each type of media serves as unique purpose and has its own techniques and strategies for effective communication. Media is the main means of communication for people in a society. The goal of media is to communicate the intended message effectively. It gives knowledge to students, it is necessary that one of the students must  aware of the power of media. To inform people about current, new affairs and to tell about the latest gossip and fashion. Billions of people around the world use social media to share information and make connections. On a personal level, social media allows you to communicate with friends and family, learn new things, develop your interests, and be entertained.

 3 Different types of media

PRINTED MEDIA

   -is a form of mass media as the name suggests the news or information is shared through printed publications. Printed media is the oldest means of sharing information/news. In printed media, the news or information is published in hard copy and then it is released which is more reader-friendly. It mainly comprises of news paper and magazines. Newspaper are clearly associated with information and show an emphasis on political issues and current events. They are valued as a backbone of the democratic public sphere because they enable comprehensive public discourse. News magazines also serve an information function , whereas most other magazines are more committed to entertainment and leisure. These magazines show a diverse spectrum ranging from lifestyle to special interest magazines.    

 BROADCAST MEDIA

   -is the inclusion of different mediums that are used for communicating, transmitting, and broadcasting to the public or masses. It uses a wide range of audio-visual materials as well as electronic or electro-magnetic mediums to share news, information, entertainment, ads, etc with the target audiences or general public. Boadcast media invovles electronically and simultaneously sending informaion containing signals, print messages and audio or video content to a vast group of recipients usng television, radio, newspapers, magazines, and digital media including the internet ,emails and text.

 

DIGITAL MEDIA

 - is digitized content that can be transmitted over the internet or computer networks. This can include text, audio, video, and graphics. This means that news from a TV network, newspaper, magazine, etc. that is presented on a Web site or blog can fall into this category. Digital media is any form of media that uses electronic devices for distribution. This form of media can be created, viewed, modified, and distributed via electronic devices. It is commonly used software, video games, videos, websites, social media, and online advertising.
